Mission ONE practices high standards of accountabilty with its indigenous and international mission partners in Africa and Asia

Partnerships are biblically based, and are built upon our mutual needs, roles and responsibilities. We are accountable to each other for the godly handling of our resources, talents and relationships. Mission ONE as a ministry is moving from a “transactional” model of partnership — to a “transformational” model of partnership, in which we become an integral part of each other — more like a marriage than a business deal.

The aim of Mission ONE is to strengthen local accountability. A formal partnership agreement is established — outlining mutual responsibilities and expectations — with each field representative and partner organization. The partnership agreement is reviewed annually and, if necessary, adjusted accordingly.

The field partners agree to provide Mission ONE…

  • Local oversight and accountability for the national missionaries supported.
  • Timely reporting of activities and results. Usually that is twice per year for national missionaries and four times per year for projects.
  • Data and information as part of the reporting process. This is for the purpose of the sponsor partner to be able to pray specifically, as well as to understand the role of the national missionary and his or her family.
  • A financial accounting for all funds received from Mission ONE. Audited or official financial statements of the partner organization are requested annually.
  • Other helpful information about the ministry — to enable Mission ONE to perform as the development agent for the partner.
  • A commitment to pray for Mission ONE and its staff.
  • In addition, periodic field visits are sanctioned by the partnership agreement.

Mission ONE agrees to provide the field partner…

  • Timely transfer of funds that are raised for their support or projects.
  • Communication with sponsors on behalf of the partners.
  • Prayer for the partners.
  • Diligence in seeking to raise support for national missionaries and their projects affiliated with their ministry.
  • Personal counsel and encouragement for key leaders.
  • Consulting for organizational development.

Mission ONE agrees to provide to the donor partner…

  • Regular feedback on the national missionary or project supported. Usually this is every 6 months for national missionary support and every three months for a project.
  • Communication regarding the progress and prayer needs in the various partnerships — via newsletters, mailings or personal discussions.
Financial reports from Mission ONE or the field partner, as requested.
  • The means to communicate indirectly with the national missionary for whom the donor partner is giving and praying.
