Strategic Projects are special investments in
evangelism, church planting, leadership training, community transformation,
medical missions — or other ministry opportunities of Mission
ONE partners in Africa or Asia.
Mission ONE receives from Africa and Asia many proposals for
ministry projects. Examples of Strategic Project opportunities with
Mission ONE partners include:
- A yearlong training project in a North African nation impacting
the entire emerging Church in that land.
- Repairing a well-drilling rig that is used to drill deep-water
wells in remote villages of India. Part of a dynamic evangelistic
ministry.
- Providing sewing machines to Christian women living in a camp
for Sudanese refugees. Purpose: economic development, to
help provide food for their children.
- A series of training events in both Southern and Northern Sudan
to train Christian leaders.
- Construction of a training center in Southeast Asia to train
Christian leaders.
- Training Christian women in East Asia in Bible doctrines, raising
children, and teaching others.
- Bicycles for pastors and evangelists in Pakistan, to aid them
in their ministry.
- Medical mission among totally unreached people in remote mountain
region of South Asia.
- Medical ministry among unreached tribes and refugees in Sudan.
- Supporting a team of national missionaries who are laboring
among unreached forest tribal people.
The cost and duration of a Strategic Project varies.
- From a few hundred U.S. dollars — to several thousand
U.S. dollars.
- From a one-time gift — to a commitment lasting three years
or more.
Reports and evaluations
It is a requirement that all Mission ONE partners overseas demonstrate
reliable financial accountability, and periodic reports about their
ministry progress.
Each Strategic Project proposal has its own time frame. USA partners
who support the projects are told upfront what to expect regarding
periodic reports and evaluations.
